MUNSIYARI - MILAM GLACIER TREK: The Himalayan region of Kumaon is a store house of natural beauty beyond belief. Protected from the onslaught of the outside world, the Himalayan ecology remains well conserved here, making the region a great retreat for the lovers of nature. The trek to the Milam Glacier is amongst the best of treks in this region, taking you through some of the remotest areas with breathtaking panorama. Finally reaching the glacier, one is awed by the splendour of the majestic Mt.Trishul (7070m) which stands tall dwarfing everything in the vicinity
Day 01 - Arrive Delhi: Transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing.
Day 02 - Delhi - Almora: Drive to the foothill town of Almora. Overnight stay.
Day 03 - Almora - Munsiyari: Proceed through the spectacular mountain countryside of Kumaon. We will see the ancient temple complexes which are of immense interest. Reach Munsiyari (2290m), a small town amidst heavenly environs. Overnight stay.
Day04 - Munsiyari: Day for relaxation and leisure. Overnight stay.
Day05 - Munsiyari - Rilkot: A jeep track brings you upto the road-head at Bog Udyar, from where you begin the trek to the village Rilkot (3130m). Overnight stay.
Day06 - Rilkot - Panchu: Proceed up along the river Gori Ganga upto Panchu. Camp overnight at a scenic location. Overnight stay.
Day07 - Panchu - Milam Village: Trek to Milam (3420m), the last village en- route. The place is surrounded by glaciers and high mountain peaks, making it an awe inspiring location. Overnight stay.
Day08 - Milam: Day for rest.
Day09 - Milam - Nitwal Thaur: Take the trail up along the Milam Glacier to reach Nitwal Thaur. Set up camp at a suitable place. Overnight stay.
Day10 - Suraj Kund Excursion: Continue along the glacier to a point where one crosses over the glacier (4242m) to reach the beautiful Suraj Kund (‘Pond of the Sun’), which lies at the base of the Tirsul peak(7070m). Get an extreme close up view of several giant peaks(over7000m) from here. Return to camp site.
Day11 - Nitwal Thaur - Milam: Retrace the route back to village Milam. Overnight stay.
Day12 - Milam - Burphu: Take a different trail to return. Follow the river down on the left bank to reach village Burphu. Overnight stay.
Day13 - Burphu: Day for rest.
Day14 - Burphu - Rilkot: Continue downstream to reach Rilkot. Overnight stay.
Day15 - Rilkot - Bog Udiyar - Munsiyari: Retrace the route to the road-head at Bog Udyar and then drive to Munsiyari. Overnight stay.
Day 16 - Munsiyari - Almora: After breakfast drive to Almora. Overnight stay at Almora.
Day 17 - Almora - Delhi: After breakfast drive to Delhi. In the Afternoon arrive Delhi.
